2. General Information

Thank you for your interest in our app MagicBridge and our website.

This Privacy Policy explains which data is processed when you use the app and visit this website, the purposes of such processing, and the rights available to you.

MagicBridge does not require registration or the creation of a user account. MagicBridge contains no advertising and does not use processed data for advertising or cross-app tracking purposes.

MagicBridge stores information on the device that is required for gameplay and app functions. This includes in particular:

4. In-App Purchases and Unity In-App Purchasing

MagicBridge offers optional in-app purchases through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Payments are processed by the respective app store provider. Logmar Games and Unity do not receive credit card, bank account, or other direct payment information.

MagicBridge uses the Unity In-App Purchasing (Unity IAP) software module provided by Unity Technologies for the technical provision, execution, validation, and restoration of in-app purchases.

Unity IAP may process the following data in particular:

This data is used for app functionality, the technical handling of in-app purchases, troubleshooting, service security, and analysis of the IAP function. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Under Unity’s current terms for Unity IAP version 5.4 and later, Unity has different data-protection roles depending on the processing involved. Where Unity processes personal data to provide the IAP dashboard and technical abstraction features, Unity acts as a processor. For certain transaction and billing data that Unity processes for its own legitimate business purposes – including payment reconciliation, internal financial reporting and audits, legal and regulatory obligations, and security and fraud prevention – Unity acts as an independent controller.

5. Recipients and Third-Party Providers

In connection with in-app purchases, data may be transmitted to or processed by the following providers:

Logmar Games does not operate its own servers for MagicBridge and does not receive users’ personal gameplay, device, or payment data. Aggregated information about sales and app performance may be made available to Logmar Games through the platforms of the providers listed above.

These providers may also process data in countries outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, transfers are governed by the providers’ applicable legal transfer mechanisms and privacy terms.

6. Contact by Email

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide in order to handle your request. This may include, in particular, your email address, the content of your message, and any device, operating-system, or technical-problem information you choose to provide.

Where your request relates to the use of MagicBridge or a purchase, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Otherwise, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in handling inquiries appropriately and providing support.

Our support email address is provided via Gmail, a Google service. Google may process technical connection and communication data in this context. Further information is available in the Google Privacy Policy.

We retain inquiries only for as long as necessary to handle them and, where applicable, to comply with statutory retention or documentation obligations.

7. Advertising, Tracking, and Analytics

MagicBridge contains no advertising and does not use advertising networks. No cross-app tracking for advertising purposes takes place, and no personal user profiles are created for advertising purposes.

Unity IAP nevertheless processes the technical, purchase-related, and diagnostic information described in Section 4 for app functionality and analysis. This processing is not equivalent to advertising tracking.

8. Device Permissions and Location

MagicBridge does not request permission to access the following device features:

9. Legal Bases

Where processing is necessary to provide the app and to execute or restore in-app purchases, it is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Where technical diagnostic, security, and performance data is processed, it is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in providing the app securely and reliably, troubleshooting errors, and preventing misuse of in-app purchases.

Where statutory retention or documentation obligations apply, processing is based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

10. Retention Period

Locally stored gameplay and settings data remains on the device until the app is uninstalled, the app storage is deleted, or the relevant data is reset within the app.

Data processed by Apple, Google, or Unity is subject to the respective providers’ retention periods. According to Unity, service log data is generally retained for 90 days. Transaction data may be retained for longer in accordance with contractual or statutory requirements.

11. Use by Children

MagicBridge does not request names, email addresses, dates of birth, or other direct contact details. No user account is created.

The technical data processing by Unity IAP described in Section 4 may occur regardless of the user’s age, particularly when the app is launched or the in-app purchase function is used. Parents and legal guardians may contact the address specified in Section 1 with questions or to exercise data protection rights.

13. Provision of This Website

This website is provided via GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub. When a GitHub Pages website is visited, the visitor’s IP address is logged and stored by GitHub for security purposes.

Processing related to the technical provision of this website is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and reliable provision of our website. Logmar Games does not use its own analytics, advertising, or tracking services on this website.
